HISTORY

Every year, design houses and PR firms spend valuable time and money managing samples, creating and sending look books, and generating press reports in increasing numbers and without a streamlined system to make it easier.

Fashion GPS was created and influenced by design and PR executives from New York, Paris, London and Milan to address the need for efficiency in today's ever changing fashion industry.

This development was initiated when KCD PR approached Fashion GPS President Edwin Mullon to create a cutting edge technology to control inventory management. Once the platform was successfully in place, Marc Jacobs requested that Fashion GPS be customized to meet his specific needs as a designer. The system was then put into place for global fashion brands based in New York, Paris, London and Milan.

Today, Fashion GPS handles the entire process of sending out and following up on samples, creating reports, managing requests, forecasting, taking reservations and displaying look books. In addition, Fashion GPS has developed a new service called Events, which enables companies to create a virtual mailing list that is used to send and track invitations, RSVPs, media requests and attendance at fashion events, while simultaneously enabling the virtual management of seating charts and rapid check-in at events.

Now designers and PR firms can focus on other important areas, as Fashion GPS works behind the scenes like a virtual employee.
